Harvey Dodd, widely considered to be Provincetown’s premiere watercolorist, is celebrating his 50th season painting in Provincetown. In 1971 he opened the Harvey Dodd Gallery in the East End. When he closed his gallery last November, then the oldest in town, he chose Provincetown’s newest gallery, Cape Light Fine Arts, as the venue for his watercolors. His imaginative approaches and evolved technical skill, featuring his classic panoramas along with lyrical and whimsical scenes of Provincetown and the surrounding Cape, has won the hearts of hundreds of collectors throughout the world.
